Naguru Youth Health Network is a youth-led not-for-profit organization supporting youth-friendly service provision in Uganda.
NYHN’s purpose is to promote increased access to quality Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Services (ASRH) services for young people aged 10 – 24 years through peer support interventions, community engagements, strategic partnerships, and referrals and linkages to quality Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health services.
Naguru Youth Health Network (NYHN), with support from the civil society GFF resource and engagement hub (CSO Hub) hosted by PAI, implemented the i-Report; a digital community monitoring platform for young people to collect information on key health issues using exit interviews at health facilities and community or key informant interviews.
The information collected is used to hold key decision makers and service providers accountable to providing quality health services that respond to the needs of young people.
The initiative is also part of NYHN’s efforts to ensure that young people are well positioned to monitor the 2020–2025 Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Sharpened Plan for Uganda as it continues to unfold.
The TracerX digital locator tool is aimed timely follow up of young people who miss HIV clinic appointments and timely contact tracing for young people who test positive for TB.
The GFF MAYE Plus is a platform for youth in GFF countries to show case best practices of how they are engaging and coordinating in country GFF/ RMNCAH+N processes. The project is supported by the GFF CSO Hub.
